Poor Forum Performance

07.35 this morning , couldn't get on at all.
OK by 07.40 but has been sporadically normal and slow for the 5 minutes I've been on here.

It seems that the hosting company had a DDoS Attack last night and is resolving the problem.  That is why it has been even worse this morning!!!

strange as It is absolutely fine for me at my office desk... and on my mobile...

try clearing out your cookies and offline stuff NPN...

Tried that, resulting in being thrown out every minute now
Keeps telling me the site can't be reached and takes too long to respond.

Tried logging in to the site at about 8.30 this morning - been trying a number of times and just managed to get in - 4 hours later!

DNS/DDoS!   that's just all the members trying to log on. 

A couple of thoughts.

Who else do the web hosting company host?  ie. is their a Brexit, porn or similar website or board on the same hosted site that is eating the providers bandwidth.  I had this on my warship site some years ago where a porn site was hosted by the same company and our performance went through the floor.

The logon problem happens while someone is uploading a picture.  To see this open two windows on different platforms (PC and phone etc.), start to load a photo on one window and then try to access the site on the other.  The result is the web access stalls until the photo load completes.  This suggests the host has limited our sites simultaneous bandwidth.

Sorry this is so technical guys but if it sparks an idea how to fix it im sure you will put up with it.

I've had the odd issue of not being able to connect, I think it was on Sunday, I assumed you were doing some work on it.

Currently, we're working on a new Gallery, and ditching the Media software shortly.  Should be really tonight if all goes well.
