Title: Problem with YouTube?
Post by: Newportnobby on October 26, 2022, 03:28:01 PM
I tried to look at some music vids on YouTube this morning to find no 'controls' are now shown so I could not pause, alter the volume or go full screen at all. This happened on at least half a dozen vids.
Has anyone else experienced this or has YouTube morphed into something uncontrollable please?

How are you viewing the videos - direct from youtube.com or as an embedded link?  Which browser?    Full screen or not?

All seems to be working perfectly fine to me (Chrome viewing youtube.com normal or full screen, also fine watching youtubes embedded in NGF pages)

Working ok for me on my I-pad using Safari. Maybe a glitch on your computer or what ever.

Works fine for me usinf Firefox,  however I take the output from the PC to a Technics hifi so don't rely on any Youtube or PC controls apart from the "go" button.

Watching direct on YouTube site via Opera browser. Not full screen. Most music vids I watch seem to be from personal mobiles so quality is poor anyway.
Any vids embedded in forum pages seem just fine

All back to normal this morning ???
Note - no settings were altered or injured in the creation of this thread.

On a slightly separate subject, I like to watch vids of rock groups on TOTP as, I don't know what the audience are being played, but it certainly ain't what the band are playing as they are obviously dancing to something else with a completely different beat.
An ideal example is Thin Lizzy doing "Whiskey in the jar" on TOTP or Deep Purple doing "Black Night" :D
