Took a day off from packing and went to the antiques fair at Ardingly.

Got myself an early Lesney Diamler ambulance,no box and a scratch on the roof, so a little TLC needed. It'll be great for the new layout. Huge investment of £3.

Excellent day out and it didn't rain.  :claphappy:

Oh Gawd - when I think of how many Lesney cars & trucks I had as a kid. Not a one left now :'(

I remember travelling home from hospital in the full size version of that ambulance after an operation when I was 8 years old.

I have one of my originals still, and to prove it....

The original

And in its more weathered form today.

Sorry if it scares the kids or small animals.

Dunno about kids and small animals, Jerry, but it certainly scared this forum member :o

I love coming back to this thread, always makes me happy!

I reckon I've shot, from a personal satisfaction point of view, my best wedding yet. Very favourable conditions later in the day (epic sunset) and a genuinely lovely couple.

:claphappy: Two years ago I had a prostrate op. which didn't go quite straightforward but ended up with me much more comfortable than I had been before. Along with the op. I agreed to take part in a survey with a 2 year follow up. There was a hint that I could get paid for my troubles.
Well I had the final inspection :( today and filled in the relevant forms.
Then they asked for my bank details  at which point I sort of demanded to know why?
It seems that the survey people are going to pay out a contribution to my parking and inconvenience.  :-\ Its either £240 or £280.
Cant be bad can it ?   :claphappy: Should be in my account by October  :claphappy: :claphappy: :claphappy:
