Wow what a find.

Of course it's tinged with sadness of the late gentleman passing away, but it would be so much worse for it all to be destroyed forever.

Looks like SM32 track. Could be Peco G45.   

£60 per metre to replace bits sounds excessive.  Should work out more like £12 per yard if you buy a box of the Peco stuff.    LGB 1200mm lengths are about £30.

I hate to be a pessimist but I think that the track needs lifted and all the substructure sorted out before trying to get track back down and trains running.

A very big job, even for an enthusiast!

It looks better than most USA 1:1 scale track I have seen :D

What a coincidence - I found one in my back garden too.

When they say over £1,000 the current price for one of these is over £1,800, makes N look cheap.
Working doesn't seem to be the perfect thing for me so I'll continue to play.
