Hello

I've searched for green BR/SR green EMUs. I've found a few of the 4 car version, but think that they are quire pricey and most are second hand and are mainline units.

Does anyone know of a 2/3 car surburban green EMU unit?

You might find farish 372676 on fleabay

It depends on your era, if you are looking for a class 416 then I think the only way is to use the Electra Graphics 416 vinyls, a pair of Farish Mk1's and a 158/170 power unit.

The only RTR SR EMUs are the Farish 4CEP (class 411) and the Hornby Arnold Brighton Belle (5BEL).
Anything else is a do it yourself job. There's probably plenty of shells on Shapeways, you'll need to paint and motorise them. As GrahamB has suggested there's also the Electra Railway Graphics route.

An excellent reference site for N Gauge RTR is http://www.ngauge.org.uk/index.php . It lists all the known British post 1948 N Gauge RTR. A visit there could save you a lot of searching!!!!

Farish 372-676 is a green 4CEP so not quite what you want.

There aren't really any RTR. I assume you've seen the CEP, but there is no EPB, HAP or other suburban EMUs available off the shelf.

Edit: too slow!

If you are not afraid to try your hand at kits www.n-train.net

Class 204, Class 166, Class 230, Class 483 and Class 484 are all 2 car although cannot say anything about SR/BR as some are too modern.

Don't forget the 466 Networker, Bob.

As Graham pointed out, Electra Rail (me) does a big range of older Mark 1-based Southern EMUs, including the 2-car 2-EPB and 2-HAP units. These are designed to fit the old-style Farish Mark 1s with the one-piece bodyshells and can be motored with a Farish or Tomix chassis.
