Cool! Now all you need is the track to go with 'em!

I see those silos lurking unfinished in the background, there, Ian!  ;)

Postman dropped off a little box from across the pond this morning.

Strange that - @wookie had three similar locos from UM too.
Good news for Colin at Union Mills :)

I'm well pleased. I'm sure @wookie is as well.

The Dukedog box contained a sheet warning that the width had been reduced as far as physically possible and modellers should not try to take it any further. I haven't built any platforms yet, but will have to take that into account.

Very nice little loco stud there. As you say, watch the platforms!

A couple of new purchases, first up is DRS 66417 (seen here on a rake of GNER mkIVs)

Next up is Peak 44008, this was described as clicking, haven't taken it apart yet but the description points to split gears.

Not sure if these two are easy or even possible to DCC, info on both road numbers on the forums seem to be thin on the ground.

The third purchase is US based and is posted in the relevant American thread.

As requested by @Newportnobby here are the close up photos of the Princess and the 7F that I was lucky enough to purchase from @Dr Al

2 more examples of his undoubted skill in 2mm modelling

The Class 44 is basically the same model as the more common Class 45/46, so you may have more luck searching for those.

I recall from my early abortive consideration of DCC that the 44/45/46 can be converted, but due to lack of space inside the body requires either sacrifice of a cab interior, or modifications to the chassis itself, see e.g.:

Latest N scale purchase:

Didn't realize how tiny the Terriers were! (It's not an issue). Have two more orders coming from the UK at some point as I decided to see what other shops will ship items to the US.

Yup. They're certainly small. The coin in the pic is a £1 coin.

Thought about a side-by-side photo with my Kato FEF 4-8-4 UP #844 or my SP Daylight for size comparison, even though they're slightly different scales... 844 is the largest steam locomotive I have at the moment.

Ain't she lovely
