I've always believed the Rockefeller picture to be a fake. Such an iconic picture, yet neither the shooter nor the sitters are known. Sorry, I can't believe that.

Fake? Really?

Set up, maybe, but I don't think there's much doubt that the men genuinely worked in those conditions. The three photographers who took part in the shoot are credited at the end of the film. The subjects' names would have been regarded as irrelevant in those days.

Agreed, that it's staged is not in doubt, but it's not fake IMO.
