Argo Transacord

Back in the days when music came on round black plastic discs I had a few Argo Transacord records including N7 on the jazz and trains in trouble. It would appear that this company has sunk without trace. I was wondering if anyone had taken it over and possibly updated the format, or if it would be possible for any of us who had any of the old records and a way of uploading them to make them available and seeing as the company has gone belly up what would be the copyright situation if we did?

I've no idea what happened to the company but I had a few discs.
The one I remember was called (I think) "Steam over Shap".
