N gauge at swap meets

We have managed to secure 58016 for future preservation. All the other class 58's are owned by EWS/DBS. They started switching them off around the 2001-2002 mark, however due to foreign infastructure works in Spain, France and freight duties in Holland many of the class were re-furbished and sent over sea's in a range of wild livery's (full details of fleet status can be viewed on the class 58 loco group site):

A few of the class stayed in england and a couple were used as canibalised loco's generating spares for the other's. Sadly most of the oversea's contrats are near completion meaning the future of the whole fleet is unsure as DBS intentions on their future remains very cryptical to say the least.....

Securing one for the future was a hard task, but we finally made it.
