I'm looking for traction tyres for a Minitrix 2077 tender drive, the wheels are 6.25mm diameter, can anybody tell me which Fleischmann or Farish ones will fit; Farish seem to be listed by the model they fit, Fleischmann by part number, neither of which give any indication of size, so not much help unless you have that particular Farish model, or a cross referenced Fleischmann list; they are about the same size as the Fleischmann 716x series. Union Mills ones are just a bit too big.

Hi Mike, I have no idea whether this info is of any use to you but by coincidence DM Toys sent an email to me this week with some Haftreifen (traction tyres) listed ( they are oddly called 'Bandage' in the email :hmmm:)

Point is, the ones they refer me to give some size info.

Here's the link to DM Toys relevant page:

If nothing else it rules out the ones you don't want. :D

Please recheck my findings before you order, but if I've got it right then 2077 tender drive uses traction tyres 72 2273 00 according to this service sheet:
http://www.mtkb.de/Firmen_PDF/Waschzett/Minitrix/12077/br17_2_12077.htm

Just so happens, on ebay I found this:

Hope this helps

I now buy my traction tyres from www.mtrains.co.uk .  They sit tighter on the wheel and have better grip on the rails.  They are about 2/3rds down his spares list under, would you believe, traction tyres.
