My local bus stop

Bucketing down as I write this, but creek is coping.

I have just been reading on a news feed that Sydney is experiencing flooding due to the rain and an overflowing dam - hope the bus stop is safe, (and you of course!).

Raining and cool, but where I live is thankfully not really effected too much. It rains hard, but then we have an hour or two respite before the next downpour, which gives time for the water to drain away.

I feel for you Ausies, one year you're getting burnt to a crisp, next getting inundated with flood water, there's no half measure for you folks   Hopefully you don't get both in the same year.

The dam that is full to capacity and threatening western Sydney was dry a few years ago!

'Horrific': swarms of spiders flee into homes – and up legs – to escape NSW floods

Yeah, just been watching that live on the ABC news channel. A female reporter was out on a boat on the river at Port Macquarie, and spiders were running up her legs, having got into the boat to avoid the rising water.

Presumably the mice will follow the spiders ?

A-ha, you've seen that too, then. Yeah, there's a mouse plague out at places like Coonamble.

Bealman couldn't sit down at the bus stop last night.... surface tension keeping the remnants of the extended climate event on the seat.

I spoke a little prematurely. 2pm this afternoon outside Chez Bealman. Heavens opened shortly afterwards.

The autumn nights are setting in, as the view outside Chez Bealman shows after alighting from the bus. We lose daylight savings time this weekend too, so it's only gonna get darker!
