As for Ebay, it's the bidders who are the idiots. Most of the time they go for more than the cost of the model plus membership!

a short while ago there were a couple of Transrail cl37s on fleabay, on on auction and one buy-it-now, and both of them were over £10.00 more than Hattons were selling them with p&p, and you'd still got to add the p&p to the fleabay prices.

Looks awesome. So good in fact I'm planning on buying one and then attacking it with a hacksaw  as I want to model 45020 (the ex Regional Railways one) post MOD escort refurb.

which will need new sides for the window refurb work, plus the bodyside fillers (although those I may leave - and are wrong as far as I can tell on the EWS NGS model for practical costing reasons)

It's by far the coolest of them IMHO - a beautiful fusion of 1930s Stanier design and a modern EMU.
