I'm looking to add a pic or video from Flickr to an e mail and am sure I used to use the 'Share' option of the 4 options given when you wish to forward a link.
'BBC Code' is the one I successfully use to post a link on the forum
'E mail' means I have to have the persons mail address to hand to type it into the box and I've never done that before
'Embed' is not the one for e mails
'Share' gives me a link such as the one below but when I send the mail to the recipient that link never works although I'm sure it used to :confused2:
Anyone have any clue what I'm doing wrong?

Edit - just solved it by removing the 's' from https.
I'll leave this here in case it helps anyone else

I seem to remember this issue a couple of years ago, Mick.

The "s" business, I mean.

Anyway, glad it's sorted.

They did away with the ability to retrieve BBCode from the app (or the mobile site) a couple of years ago, which is utterly infuriating, and makes it totally impossible to post Flickr photos directly from a phone.

Still there for me on desktop though.

These days you're strongly encouraged to use the more secure https protocol for any interactions over the web, and indeed some browsers may warn if you don't.

I'm surprised the https link doesn't work for the recipient, it certainly works as a direct link.

Have you tried using imgur Mick? I found it to be a really good platform for sharing images, its free and worth a try m8.

@Mr Sprue Since moving from  :censored: Photobucket to flickr I have no issues at all and think the above OP just highlights how poor my freeby mail provider is.
flickr allows free uploads of 1000 pics or vids so size is irrelevant is this case, just the number. They are making noises about maybe having to charge and then I'll move again but am happy with them at present. Thanks for the tip off, though.
