:) After more than a year doing nothing to the layout etc. Ive at last started modifying the legs a bit so as I can work at a relaxing height rather than have to struggle at times. Going to take time I can only do 1 leg at a time and theres 5 of them :scowl: That means about 5 weeks work before I can even start enjoying myself  :
37" is about 2" to high for me soI'mm cutting them back 3" and including height adjusters. Son has offered to do any heavy sawing for

Last weekend I actually laid out an oval, more of a square with rounded corners, of track so I could start testing some of the 50 locos I now have. I really need to get on with the layout but have had several things hold me back ever since switching over to N gauge, illness, marriage, skintness etc. Most of these are linked as you can see.

In April 2024 I will be raising money for Cancer Research UK by doing at least 100 press-ups every day.  Feel free to click on the picture to go to the donations page if you would like to help me to reach my target.

To follow the construction of my layout "Longcroft" from day 1, you'll have to catch the fish below first by clicking on it which isn't difficult right now as it's frozen!

Standing on my head using a multimeter to find that elusive short.

That's what happens when you try and 'improve' something that was working in the first place!

Today I is ballasting Bampney station and environs, still have to ballast about 8ft of the branch line and then all I'll have left is about 16ft of the main lines and then it will be done.  Damn, just remembered I've also got the whole of the terminus station to do. :'(   :'(   :'(
