I'm Planning to delete all the pictures in the gallery and replace with smaller versions as i'd Rather have all the posted pictures in it .

Hmm. Got Nobby's Nuts on OK posting straight on the post, but have not been able to repeat the feat with other photos in other threads.  :hmmm:

Hi Guys
HELP!!!! :helpneededsign:
I have uploaded a number of photos to the gallery (I think they went ok)
1st question
Where do I find my gallery?
2nd question
How do I add them inline to a post?
Is it easier just to add them as attachments or to just give a link to them for something like Dropbox ?
I just wrote an extensive reply to a post and tried to add some photos.
And lost the lot when I tried to get back to it after uploading the photos
Regards Chris

Whenever I want to add a photo' I open a separate window and open another forum page, so I have two running and work in the second one. The gallery can be found in the line of links just underneath the adverts. Click on gallery and another line of links will appear. Click on 'My Gallery' or 'My Images' and you should see your pictures. I add a picture to a post by clicking on the picture and it will open. Underneath the picture, there is a box called BB Code. Copy that whole line of text in the box and paste into your post.

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

Dunno if I'm doing it the right, or best, way but I just click on the link above the text entry box "Add image to post and upload to gallery", enter an image title, select "Random Photos" from the Category dropdown list and select my image to upload using the "Browse" button before hitting the "Add Picture" button. The image then gets uploaded and the code inserted in my post. I then repeat that for any other images.

As I say, I don't know if it's the right or best way but it seems to work for me.

Yes I've typically done exactly the same in the past, however if I think the photo is worth keeping in my gallery  (in case need to include it again) then I use the "User Gallery" on the lower half of that pop-up window instead of "Add Picture".

Once it's in your gallery you can click on the photo and  copy the "BB Code" link, then paste that link into another post you're writing.  As @dannyboy says if you've already started writing your post then open a 2nd browser tab to the forum and navigate through "Gallery" to "My Images" to get to the photo and the BB code link.  "My Images" also includes stuff you added to previous posts but not your gallery.

I guess I ought to investigate galleries some time - but for now since all my photos are in one thread, that serves as a gallery in itself.

Don't forget each pic must be less than 2MB or it won't upload to the forum so resize them if required.

Gallery/upload multiple photos allows drag/drop or access to your photos directory - its much easier than using the dialogue at the bottom of the page

It should be renamed upload single/multiple photos?

Everytime I try to add pictures this tells me an error has occured. Why does everything have to be so  :censored: complicated.

Take a picture on my phone.....add picture.

No. That's not allowed to happen because it's the wrong file type. Well if someone can tell Samsung they need to save their pictures under a file name that they don't we might get somewhere.

So there we go, I'll just not add pictures. No one is allowed to see what we've got done, and it saves me a hell of alot of anger.

I just uploaded a photo first time on my iPhone to the forum.  No issue at all.

How large is the photo, as there is a limit?

I managed to get the hang of it Tank but not been on for 6months and I've forgotten what I did  :'(

@exmouthcraig I too have a Samsung and, whilst the camera is far superior to anything apple has produced, they do create extremely large JPGs, and there is a maximum file size the forum will let you upload. I have given up editing photos and videos and created a free flickr account and just create an album and provide a link, the other option is to reduce the size (resolution) of the image you are taking in your phone camera settings, or edit it down and re-save it so it is less than the permitted 2mB upload.
