To offset my post in the Angry Thread about the NHS, by contrast I've just spent a very happy (and comfortable) 25 minutes with my head resting on the ample bosom of my dental hygienist. By such things are the life of a 61 year old enlivened :D

starting to feel a lot better have done some modeling today for the first time since april :-)

Tdm

Well I am happy today because my overdue Hattons track parcel finally arrived, and after laying some of the setrack pieces managed to resolve my de-railing problems. Am now able to continue with my layout extension and test run some trains on it.

Also beforehand I managed to win a game of snooker this morning against a very good player, and my 38 year Classic Car that I used to get to the Snooker venue is running like a dream again after not using it for a while.

Now just need to keep the misses happy as I have been spending so much time recently in my storeroom working on my layout, that she is threatening to divorce me if I don't start taking her out again,or spending more time with her at home.

A reasonable day ... :)

Ian Allen's in Birmingham had a pair of LNER wagons I didn't have for a fiver each (OO, sorry ;) so snapped them up ... and in the Oxford Diecast discount area I found a Post Office Land Rover as well as an LNER Comer Q25 at £3 each :)  Sadly, no N on discount ...

And to top it all, I found a Revell RAF Hunter 1:32 in the Model Zone area of WHS that I've been toying about buying - so did  :D  Well, it would have been rude not to

Charger from my expensive electric drill went bang. Mentioned it while my daughter was there and her boy friend chipped in "Oh, I've got a spare you can have". So they do have there uses, even after they have grown up.

Very happy p today with a warm glow inside.

Must be something to do with a harrikane in North London

:D

Papyrus

We went to see Shaun the Sheep Movie yesterday evening - absolutely brilliant. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much for an hour and a half! If you can, take the kids while it is still on. If you haven't any kids, borrow some, or just go anyway. The story is ridiculous, the animation is brilliant, and the model-making will blow your socks off.
