Quote from: PhilD on October 02, 2024, 09:16:21 PMDo the Mail trains still pick up the mailbags on the run? 60 years ago, I had a Hornby Dublo mail van that picked up and threw out metal mail bags without stopping!
The last proper TPOs (sorting on the move) stopped in January 2004. I'm not sure exactly when they stopped pick-up/drop-off on the move but certainly earlier than that.

And as of a couple of weeks ago, there are no more dedicated mail trains at all...  :(

Quote from: Bealman on October 03, 2024, 01:25:13 AMYeah, I had a Triang one that did that.

Likewise. Scooped a plastic mailbag into the coach and then fired it into a lineside bin (missing it most of the time) ;D

Quote from: Steven B on October 02, 2024, 11:58:24 AMThere is no interior fitted in these coaches. Farish never produced a Mk2 or Mk3 with factory fitted interiors.

You'd be buying models based on tooling from around 1990 - 34 years ago!

Personally I don't have a problem with that as the model would not be available otherwise.

I agree, they suit my needs fine. I have all three packs and they look great in a running train on my layout. I can't see the interior, or lack thereof from my normal viewing distance.

However, I realise the interior may be important to some.

Quote from: Firstone18 on October 02, 2024, 09:37:51 AMI also received the email. I've just sold an item on eBay, and got caught by the postage label link as it does not offer the Royal Mail free collection option, or label printing service.

Ebay does offer the Royal Mail collection option if you choose one of the Tracked options. Or you can copy and paste the RM number that Ebay give you and paste it into the Royal Mail collection site.
Thank you, I know what to look for now. I'll try it when I (hopefully) sell my 75' Inter-City coaches and HST set which I no longer require.
Cheers
