What's an iron, please? Is it a golf club thingy?

A bit like locos really. You can get electric ones and old fashioned coal ones, and they can be dry or steam. Surprised you didn't know.

I had a pic of my Kawasaki and just gave the instruction "Set the motorcycle in a country winter scene" and got a pretty decent response from Google Gemini. Then opened it with 'Paint' and set a textbox to create a seasonal card for the Club forum. Pretty pleased with it.

Certainly none built motor fitted, and none listed in the known conversions.
I can't see there would be a need for non-driving brakes - The driving trailers were all brakes, and they weren't intended for routes with high demand for luggage space needing a second van in a two/coach train.

On a slightly different tack, I wonder at the sense of sending out free folded backscenes with an issue, as I don't know anyone who would want a backscene with regularly spaced creases in it ???

Were the amount of digits on your Divi Number different across different CO-OPs?

I thought ours in Perth Scotland had five numbers although that may have been our shared line telephone number!

I remember the vacuum tubes but also the string pulley system of transferring cash and receipts to the cashier.

Goodness, how we have advanced in seventy years.
