Good Evening All, right I'm after the vast knowledge that we all know this forum is built on.....Again!!!!

Just planning a new exhibition style layout that is easier to play trains and shunt around rather then the big one all the time.

This will be based around a factory to allow a variety of goods in and certain wagons out however there was a 2ft narrow gauge internal rail system using platform trolley style wagons moved by hand. So what I'm after is there anything that would closely resemble 2ft gauge  (is z scale massively over scale? ) to build my internal railway or would/could I use code 55 rail (the layout will be built using this) and just solder this to my own sleepers to get the correct gauge????

Advice from the knowledgable collective please.

Many thanks

Ditape

Could buy one of these:
http://www.auhagen-shop.de/product_info.php?info=p422_narrow-gauge-railway-set-replica-with-engine-shed.html
It's unpowered but would look good. I know it says TT scale, but the description says the track is 4.5mm, so that's the equivalent of 2ft 3inch gauge in N scale, and all the other details would be so close to N it would probably make no difference.

They sell individual wagon kits and track bits too

I think Golden Valley models stock Auhagen stuff in the UK

I hope auhagen will make this in 1:160 too

I might buy it anyway and see what it looks like compared to my 1:148 and 1:160 models

Busch make 1:160 scale 3.8ml track as I posted in pic above though.
