N Gauge Discussion / Re: The domestic black holeLast post by Bob Tidbury - Today at 07:58:28 AMIts funny , this thread has just reminded me I had a bargain Dapol Britania that I got from Ron Lines at Eastliegh show a few years ago and have no idea where it is like everyone else I have searched everywhere except where it is hiding .
I expect next time I go down the shed it will be on the stock shelf right in front of me . As for pens there must be dozens somewhere in the house but we can never find one to write a number down . Bob #22
General Discussion / Re: An Eventful Christmas at T...Last post by Chris in Prague - Today at 04:58:33 AMAs Lady Isadora and Sir George outlined Sylvia's education, the unique legacy of the Trevelver family—the matrilinear descent, the hidden abilities passed down through generations—and the responsibilities that awaited them, Jeremy squared his shoulders and vowed to be Sylvia's anchor—the one who would guide her through tempests and calm seas alike.
His mind raced with questions: What abilities would Sylvia awaken at sixteen? How would their love shape her destiny? And what secrets lay hidden within the castle's ancient walls? Jeremy's resolve solidified. Sylvia—the vessel of magic, the keeper of tradition—was both a challenge and a promise. Love, duty, and the turning pages of time awaited them. He recalled that momentous meeting earlier that Spring in The Army and Navy Club, known informally as 'The Rag', one of London's most prestigious private clubs, situated in the heart of Mayfair at 36-39 Pall Mall. #23

N Gauge Discussion / Re: Sonic announce Newton Cham...Last post by Richard Taylor - Yesterday at 11:18:38 PMFive months on from the last post, showing first decorated samples, is there any more information about these vehicles? My pre-order page on the Rails website is silent. Which as they have had £75-worth of *non-refundable* deposits from me for these since mid-2023 isn't... great.
I know that Martyn sometimes posts Sonic updates on the Forum but only in a personal capacity. In this day and age of long product lead times but "write something once, then post in all media with one click" I think that Sonic need to pay a bit more attention to keeping customers informed. Something simple like the Revolution online "project status" sheet would be good. I might not like how long it's taking their K class Pullmans to appear, but at least I can see what stage they're at and that the project hasn't disappeared! Richard #26

General Discussion / Re: what are you listening to ...Last post by Newportnobby - Yesterday at 09:43:37 PMFor 'Black Magic Woman' it has to be Santana for me every time.
I find Dylan a bit like 'Marmite'. I tend to like him overall but some is pretty dire. His 'Tweeter and the Monkey Man' on the 'Travelling Wilburys' is a wonder both musically and lyrically. Biryani Ferret's (thanks to Charles Shaar Murray of the NME for that) album 'Dylanesque' varies from excellent to awful dependent on the track #30
