Hello everyone!

I was hoping to tap into the collective knowlegde of the site members as to their awareness of LMS / LNWR / MR and L&Y coach kits in N gauge. I am just getting into kit building as all my modelling purchases have so far been RTR (with regards to rolling stock - btw I'm only 25)

Now I have found Ultima/Etched Pixels, BH Enterprises and Worsley Works. I was wondering if anyone knew of any more manufacturers that I haven't found or aren't available on the internet?
I came across cavendish but there is a distinct lack of availability.

Thanks in advance,

Z

RTR there is the Dapol gunpowder van.. and that may be the lot actually 8)

The N scale bits of Cav'n'dish became part of Ultima at some point (I believe late 80's early 90's) and Ultima became part of Etched Pixels. I'm not aware of any Cav'n'dsh N scale LNWR kits however and certainly nothing was passed on.

I have LNWR six wheeled coaches on my provisional list for next year but the big challenge with LNWR stock is the livery. Midland isn't exactly easy but LNWR really takes it to a whole higher level with all the fine LNWR gold lining and the like.

L&Y is an odd one. I've seen almost no L&Y kits of any kind. It's surprisingly poorly represented for the size of the company.

The other old and obscure source for LNWR kits (although old white metal ones) is the former Graham Hughes range. That included a few things like LNWR timber wagons.

For the LNWR, N Brass produced some etched brass sides & ends for around 5 types of non-corridor coaches, but i can't say whether they are still available.

There is the Cauliflower and G available RTR from Union Mills not mentioned so far.

For the L&Y I can think only of a few wagon kits in plastic and whitemetal. For locos I can only think of the Gem w/m kit which is an approximation of a class 23 saddle tank. Coach wise, nothing...

I needed an LNWR push pull coach for my Delph Donkey layout and its running companion. Worsley Works used the original plans to etch the floor, sides and roof for both coaches as a one off. Very reasonable price too.
Still have to construct them though!!!
