Sometimes oddities show up.

This is listed as an English lorry: https://www.tradera.com/item/344727/533992940/skala-n-engelsk-lastbil
But the seller doesn't know what it is.

My hubby says he recognises the nose, and knows it's British, but can't recall the maker. I've tried to find it from googling images, but so far, nothing seem to fit.

Can anyone help me? I know it's an old model, lacking in details, but with a bit of work, if it fits my timeline, it would be a nice addition to the layout.

From memory it is a Dennis prototype as I've got one of them on my layout.
Can't remember who made the whitemetal kit, but I must have bought it about 45 years ago!

EDIT: I think it's supposed to be a Dennis Pax.....   https://www.dennissociety.org.uk/preserved/commercial/enm542.html

I agree on Dennis, but I'm inclined to say it's supposed to be late 1930s "Ace"...

There was certainly a white metal kit for the bus version of the Ace.

I would agree on Dennis, circa 1930s/1940s.

This link shows what is described as a '1940 F Truck' that looks, headlight positioning aside, that looks very similar to the photo of the model:

The design/style is seen through Dennis trucks through the 1930s to 1950's (like the early Ace and the later Pax) so given the low quality of the model, if it is supposed to be a Dennis it might be difficult to pin it down to a particular prototype.

Good details of a 1948 Pax with photo included here:

You might be right!

I did a little search for Dennis lorries, and found a model (larger scale) of a 1936 platform lorry that was almost identical from what I could see.

Hi All

Yes, it is a Dennis lorry, the white metal kit was by Langley, but they no longer make this kit

I bought one off these kits off ebay about a year ago, it makes a nice little model
