Went all the way over to Greenham Common today to see if there were any USAF left overs I could nick :-[ I mean offer a good home to.
We took my mobility scooter after giving it a good service and tyre check. Thought I would use my sat-nav to check out its top speed and do  a couple of speed trials down the main runway.
Not only did the yanks strip all the nickable ...ooops I mean good stuff out when they left but some %"^ger has been there sinse and nicked all the tarmac from the runway.
Still the family thought it was an interesting afternoon out and in some ways I have to agree

We must be faring better with Aussie TV as we can still watch "Are you being Served" , "Doc Martin", and the occasional "Carry On" movie, one of the nice things about being behind everyone else I guess.

Having said that we get our fair share of canned laugh shows from across the ditch and SWMBO loves her "Bold and Beautiful" and "Home and Away"
Keep on Smiling

Morning all, can I just take a moment to remind everyone that this is a public forum that can be read by anyone of any age, and whilst it is nice to vent your spleen from time to time, can I ask all members to monitor their colourful choice of phrasing, including regional derivatives  ;)  :smiley-laughing:

Think yourselves lucky. In the UK we still get Eastenders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and repeats of Desperate Housewives pretty much 24/7 (all rubbish soap ops) My missus is addicted to em!!!

I hate em!
The worst thing though, which makes me post on this particular thread is Britains got talent (A rubbish entertainment act search show )
I have to endure this Effing misery every night!!!!!!

On the plus side at least when it's on my wife dont bother me!  More N Gauge..... ;D

A notice to us all really...

...and that should include 'foreign' versions of any 'colourful metaphores' as this forum can be seen by anyone in the world!

Moogle is quite right, it was a wee heads up for everyone.  No recriminations, so thats the end of it.
