Spend as little as possible on what you need so you can spend as much as possible on what you want.

What I like about these is that all you need is a quarry, a BBC film crew, and a few of these model Daleks and you've got an authentic vignette to add to any 1960s-1980s layout!

Plus, there's an N-scale TARDIS model with a flashing light available somewhere. Bought one at a model railway show, and while a bit basic, it'd complete the scene nicely!

I've no idea what the plural of TARDIS is but I've seen a few on layouts at various shows. Having one surrounded by Daleks would be a great piece of 'oneupmanship' ;D

Dalek

The question for me is are they worth buying to make my little sister feel uncomfortable?  Little sister is 57 now but when we were kids I used to chase her around the house with a toy dalek.  A few years ago she bought me one with shampoo in it and just bought a gift bag and asked the shop assistant to drop it in as she couldn't bear to touch it!
Also used to con her into putting her tongue onto my scalextric track.  Orrible aint I.
Might have told these tales before.  I'm at that age.

There, doesn't that feel better?
Lovely!

This is awesome, I will be ordering some for defo to go with my tardis, from Hornby I think.

Thank you for posting, I have been searching for ages.
Best wishes

This is the TARDIS with the flashing light.

It's pretty neat, but the windows will need painting white, and the electronics part is simply a battery pack and switch, not particularly well put together or protected. On the plus side, it's cheap and does work rather nicely!

I like the look of the Daleks, they just need their flashing yellow "ears" adding, so that should be easy enough with 0402 LEDs.

I'm sure I saw a comedy sketch in the 70's about Daleks who had been made redundant by the BBC after they had finished filming.

The sketch was about them signing on at the dole office and finding jobs - and the resulting ensuing chaos.  One Dalek was even seen being treated by a psychologist for depression from loosing his job - he vaporized the psychologist.

So how about a Dalek station master or signalman, or even a train driver - a class 66 would match them to a tee.

Ticket collectors would be cyber-men of course.

If anyone can remember the show please PM me.
