Maybe, maybe not. Give it a chance - it can't be any worse than the 2004 movie! It's supposed to be quite true to the original according to David Graham when he was interviewed last year.

You mean you haven't seen the ads for the past month ?

Also, I seem to recall Anderson had some involvement in it ... this isn't something that's just been done, it's been a while in the makings ...

This is news to me.

Judging from the image of TB1 it looks as though they have made a decent fist of updating the original. I hope they manage the same with TB2 - the profile of the nose is very subtle but - like the best real aircraft - just looks "right".

Behind that they also seem to have had the original puppets in mins when creating the new characters, which is a nice touch.

Plus using the same actor to play Parker seems like a nice homage to the original.

Cheers

I gather they will be mixing CGI "Puppets" and physical models, so it could be rather promising. Certainly should be a lot better than the 2004 movie.

As a kid (allright, a youngster), I enjoyed the original puppet series. As I got older, and saw them repeated, they did seem less than polished, and I ended up playing "spot the strings", which was too easy. I note the new ones do not have strings, so imagine it won't be filmed in "Supermarionettion" or whatever the word was.

'Supermarionation' - embedded in the brain :D

I quite enjoyed the 2004 movie and I've got it on DVD.

I've also seen the teaser and I'm looking forwards to it.

Quite a few comments on line saying that the new Tracy images look a bit weird.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

If you look at pictures of the original puppet Tracy brothers and the new ones side by side, Scott, Gordon and John are quite similar facially. Virgil and Alan don't quite look right though.
Yes, I am sad but I don't care - I grew up with Thunderbirds in the 60's and my son was well into them in the 90's.

I do :)

By the way, I always thought that Philip Schofield and the Gallacher brothers
could have been in Thunderbirds, no need for makeup.... :D

No so sure about this, but as long as they keep the original theme tunes!
