Haarrrumph!!
Back here in Blighty a 'splitter' is someone who grasses on another.
Perchance you mean 'turncoat', in which case I say "Guilty, M'lud"
How can you not like those 2 blue locos with their window surrounds and SYP? Much better than full blue and fully custard dipped! Oh, and I have a full HST 2 + 7 in blue/grey as well, as that was such an iconic train and resulted in a TV prog entitled "HST - The train that saved the railways"

My aged Farish Brush Type 2 has had a split gear replaced by a well known Dr of this forum and runs sweetly once again

Meanwhile a somewhat naughty TPO train was hauled by a split head code class E.E. Type 4 (naughty as the coaches ranged from 1960s stock through to much later)

No, but the lights on the TPO coaches impressed a few who'd not seen/heard of them, bearing in mind Heatherley is strictly a DC layout :)

Took along some trains tonight including my class 800 but, sadly, one of the pantographs became disconnected on the sponge liner to my stock case so I just ended up filming the one train - a Peak (D55 'Royal Signals') on an up sleeper train

Looks like a nice runner that Class 45

Sad the 800 Panto disconnected and they are fiddly to refit

The pair of arms hanging over the backscene spoilt it a bit

Not the best of nights last night. Straight from his stock box friend Rob's class 40 evidenced a split gear, and his old Poole Farish Duchess seemed to enjoy throwing herself off the track at regular intervals. In the meantime my BachFar Jubilee had issues with the front bogie at various crossovers on the layout and, because I was mixing Peco and Dapol wagons, they turned into Troublesome Trucks and randomly parted company with each other safe in the knowledge I had no Tacky Wax or Black Tack with me.
I have to say the board joints on the club layout are not set up properly and the track needs a damned good clean
Meeting next week about our upcoming exhibition and the following week I reckon I'll have a MU evening with 101s, 108s, Blue Pullman, class 800 etc
