Not good news but they will fix you up as good as new, a neighbour of mine had that op just before last Christmass and it hasn't stopped him working on his MG Midget or entering in Classic rallies. This week his daughters had him repairing her old car, so for you N gauge wont be a problem.

Keep us posted

Still, there are plenty worse off than me.

Geez Mick, retirement is supposed to be all honey and roses, you've certainly had a big share of problems since you retired, although it must be a worry, let's hope this op gets you back up running to full strength.

Strewth Mick, if it weren't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all. Take care of yourself. Time to give up the fags.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Spent most of today waiting for/having an angiogram. Having shaved the 'top of my right leg' (and adjoining region as instructed they did the job radially i.e. went in from my wrist so there'll be some embarrassing scratching going on for a couple of weeks for no reason :-[. Can't do much for the next 2 days (no driving, no lifting more than a cuppa etc) just in case the artery pops but should be OK after that. The immediate prognosis is that I need a double heart by pass before Christmas  :worried: :help:

Sorry to hear this, Nobby - take it easy, I hope they get you fixed up good as new as soon as they can.
