General Discussion / Re: Unhappy ThreadLast post by alypar11 - Today at 03:52:29 AMOh Steve. So sorry to hear about the loss of your Sister in law. It's very difficult for those who have to watch their friends and relatives go through such painful times. If you are in the whirlwind of diagnosis and treatment yourself, you are very much boosted by the support of those around you. It's very sad that it has come to an end but give yourself permission to grieve now, having probably been very supportive in hope of a better outcome.

Forum Ideas and Problems. / Anyone Else Having This Proble...Last post by icairns - Today at 02:32:44 AMFor about two weeks now, random photos posted on the Forum have appeared on my computer screen as "rainbow" pictures like the one below.
Not all photos are like this. Just the occasional photo. If someone posts, say, three photos in one post, usually only one photo is affected. I am using a Windows PC and running Chrome. Is anyone else having this problem? Ian #4

Actually, I've just had a brainwave (and a beer), I could make my own using some of my pictures. Would anyone on here buy them though? #6
Computer Help / Re: Laptop/Monitor ChoicesLast post by njee20 - Yesterday at 10:09:42 PMTrashed the page, and you're replying to a bot. Full marks!
The Aspire series are awful for gaming though, most laptops are due to integrated graphics cards. They're ok machines. That's about the best I can say (I had one the wife now uses it). #7

Computer Help / Re: Laptop/Monitor ChoicesLast post by GlenEglise - Yesterday at 08:11:51 PMQuote from: zuzahafty on Yesterday at 12:56:10 PMI'm currently looking for a powerful laptop for video editing and gaming. I need something that's not too expensive. Not too expensive means different things to different people! I recently purchased £549 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Aspire-A315-59-Laptop-Integrated/dp/B0CW1N5WP5 and £118 https://tinyurl.com/4rd6cj36 Hope this helps. GE #9
N Gauge Discussion / Re: Track - pointsLast post by ntpntpntp - Yesterday at 07:05:21 PMAlmost certainly a poor connection between blade and stock rail. Where exactly do the locos stop? Is it just after the blade tip, after the blade pivot, or after a fishplate?
I use pliers to test continuity, that way if it's a fishplate problem I have the tool in hand to give it a squeeze Clean down between blade and stock rail, and make sure the tiebar is moving fully from side to side (nothing blocking it), and make sure the over-centre spring is working effectively. #10
N Gauge Discussion / Track - pointsLast post by geofff - Yesterday at 06:58:05 PMHello
Probably due to my ignorance of polarity etc. I'm using Peco Settrack code 80. I have a left hand point (ST-6) connected to a right hand point (ST-5), which is a new configuration, but has worked occasionally. The locos move freely over the left hand point. Once on the right hand point the locos stop when directed on to the curved part of the point - the straight direction is OK. Is this electrical, broken point or a poor connection. Any help appreciated. Regards | Please Support Us!
