Already sorted now, but can't get to her until this afternoon as the Manual has already been invoked via email less than an hour ago. :(

Time for me to put my cooking, ironing, shopping, household cleaning and other skills to their sternest test!

Please immediately write a manual and send it to me please @daffy

I recently advised my nephew at his wedding reception: 'there are only two phrases that a wife wishes to hear: "Yes, dear" and "No, dear": I will leave it to you to decide which one is the appropriate reply for the situation you are faced with...'

I hope Sheila recovers quickly but, if you prove to be good, progress may be slow ;)

Seconded

Getting rest and recovering is more important than cooking.

Plenty of time for that when you're better.

Not entirely sure @daffy should tell that to Sheila or it could be him in the hospital :uneasy: :worried:

I'm not sure whether to post this in the unhappy thread or the angry thread, as it's a bit of both.

Unhappily, I will not be making it to TINGS this year as I planned. I hoped to catch up with forum people I've met, and ones I haven't. The recent post about the NYMR steam day got me angry because I could have tied that into the trip.

Unfortunately, after a visit to the surgeon who did my ankle, it turns out that it's not healing properly, and I'm going to be in the moonboot and crutches until at least the end of August.

The bottom line is that if there is no improvement by Christmas, my leg could be amputated below the knee.

That's not going to happen.

But what I do have to face up to is that the UK trip is just not going to happen this year.

See ya'all next year!  :beers:

Sypmathy and best wishes that it all joins back together properly!

That's a bit of bar-steward news, George!

Sincerely hope whatever is holding up the healing process can be kicked into touch and you tell us you're a boot-free man.

All the best!
