I forgot I had preordered these. I Assume they are a re-release rather than any changes being involved...

Definitely a re-release if they lack NEM pockets. I have eight or nine of these and they do look really nice, especially with a bit of extra weathering! If you get to see the ones still sitting at Stonebridge Park, they're pretty much grime colour but the lots of extra colour coming from the graffiti! Below is a frame from a movie I took of these vans one day when tootling past on my way to Euston.

One thing I learned after buying these vans is that the 'Speedlink' and 'Railfreight' plates were frequently missing. Of course removing them from the model is possible, but there are little holes left on the body where the plates clip in. So you'd want to fill in those holes with bit of P38 or similar, and perhaps use weathering to hide such repairs away.

Cheers, NeMo

Some toothpaste by the looks of it ;)

It'll be a very slow passenger service I guess...

Just a bit worried now that those outside gronk frames have taken out the building which was on the platform?

I think I might've found the last place online which had a Dapol HST set in East Midlands Trains livery.  Finally have something to go with my 5 existing EMT coaches;

Now I just need to hunt down a Dapol Cross Country HST or Super Voyager...

Happy Birthday, John :beers:
Any other N gauge pressies?

Thanks for the birthday wishes.

I've been given a Dapol Class 122 which is getting repainted into BR Blue with small yellow panels, except I don't have it yet as it will take a few weeks to complete.

I also treated myself to a couple of Dapol Maunsell coaches.  Pictures to follow.

Bought this as a cleanup project from Hatton's, Wondering did these actually exist as quick search at work shows nothing

Well I ordered "Malvern" and that's what is says on the box, the name plate has "Wellington" who do I believe?

She's a little beauty though!

Have now twigged that 929 is correct for "Malvern", "Wellington" was 902 what a nuisance will have to figure whether I can live with it or not  :hmmm:

Just a few electrickery bits, and maybe some scenic parts if any are on sale, I told myself, what with the need to turn down the pace a bit and concentrate on the layout.

But, Sea King and thou shalt find, as the saying goes, and it would have been criminal to ignore this:

at the price it was on sale on (somewhere between a third to a half of what I'd normally expect to see hereabouts, even for an older Farish design, British stuff is thin on the ground in this neck of the woods). Body is loose on the chassis, but otherwise OK, though the chap in the shop was bemused by the way I listened intently to it on the test track for signs of omininous clicking.

(I have a bit of a soft spot for 33s, as a Lima HO one was the first real loco I ever owned).

Even better, a quick investigation reveals she (he?) has been preserved and can be seen with all kinds of hopelessly unprototypical Mk1s in tow  :beers:

You do realise this purchase will trigger the arrival of the new Dapol 33s of course...
