With huge thanks to a fellow NGF member (and the fact I no longer pay income tax :D), the latest arrival on Kimbolted is..........

I hope you were not creamed on the price  :P

OK, really silly question time:  :-[

I've paid my money for the Dapol Collector's Club, how do I get the member's rate for the milk train set?  ???

Caz

There is no members' rate as such as it is only available to members and at a fixed price.   ;)

In that case, ought we to be asking how Gaugemaster have the same set 'in stock and ready to ship' at £165 instead of £179.95 for the set in the Dapol shop? I thought it was priced in the region of £110?

...and Rails of Sheffield have it listed as a preorder at £143.95?

I think I will need to give the 'good folks' at Dapol a ring...

AFAIK it is a different set to that available to members, the members set has a weathered green loco and weathered tankers, think the general set has a BR blue loco but could be wrong.

Yes it is a blue one they are advertising - I think I'll go lie down in a dark room for a couple of hours...

It will still torment me though 😬. I think I'm getting wagons from my parents and not sure from my sister. Maybe a 1st sleeper that would be nice fingers crossed my six months of hints hasn't gone unnoticed

Built about 50 years too early for the era I'm modelling, but as the first steam locomotive I ever saw up close in the early 90s I couldn't resist trying to acquire 7822 Foxcote Manor. I'm suddenly very tempted to start building a small layout based on the preserved Llangollen station and shed, whilst I wait for my 665 sq. ft. railway room to be ready for action  :D

Lovely little locomotive.
