:-[ A touch of honesty here........
Up until 1996 I would (and did) drink anything with a sniff of alcohol in it but then the NHS stepped in and warned me that 1 more drink would be my last and they had got to me just in time.
Sinse then Ive been 100% TT and hope  I can stay that way till I die.
So its coffee, coffee or tonic water for me with extra coffee to follow

Guinness (proper stuff, in a Belfast pub) with a Bushmills (fine Irish whiskey) chaser for me, or a nice glass of red if I'm at home.

Occasionally a charge of poteen (scary strong local moonshine) if I can get proper stuff.

Ah, Bushmills. The best whiskey in the world. Followed by Glenmorangie, the best whisky in the world.
Never had Poteen. Heard that the best was made by Leprechauns in Donegal, but it could just be a vicious rumour...
I used to make my own wine years ago.
A few glasses of Blackberry or Elderberry wine at 23-26% per bottle and you were soon merry!  :beers:

The Donegal stuff is horse p*** - you want the proper stuff from the glens of Antrim. If you can get to the Perth show next year I'll bring you a bottle over.

Beloved Bushmills Black Bush, or almost any whisky beginning with Glen...
Love 'proper' Guinness although it's very fattening. A few years ago in Dingle we asked for room temperature Guinness. The landlord knew what we meant so disappeared round the corner and the next thing we heard was the 'ping' of a microwave.
One of the best pints I've ever had. Failing that I have to to ask for a pint made up from the 'orrible cold stuff mixed with a bottle.

Ooh I know..  :P

Not had many though.

Had a clear corn whiskey called Georgia Moon. Nice but lethal!  :smiley-laughing:
