Quite a long chat with GP on phone this morning and she seems very happy with 'progress' as far as breathing is concerned so we changed convocation to an event that happened way back in June but it was 1 time I had managed to discuss  it
I had collapsed whilst trying to turn P C off last thing at night (couldn't remember how to do it) then staggered as if drunk across to the bed and onto the floor  :-[
Ann had no experience with strokes but my father had a huge one which finally killed him back in the 1980s so I was slightly aware of the symptoms etc.
It seems that I had a very minor one and came through it ok but next  time................................ :worried:
Answer without fail is always dial 999 when in doubt :o

Do such people still exist? I have visions of Hattie Jacques floating through my mind (that's not good for me).
Staying on the medical front I am still in huge trouble with a ricked back and having called out an NHS24 doctor he said he would recommend me for physiotherapy. The physio people duly sent me a letter which I received last Saturday and when I called them on Monday the earliest I can get to see anyone is...................5th September :smiley-laughing: :'( :smiley-laughing: :'( :smiley-laughing: :'(
Try an osteopath. If they are recommending physio, an osteopath can do just as well (IMHO).
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Did you mean to put that in the Happy Thread, Jon?

Anyway, if you struggle to get an appointment with your GP ring the NHS24 people up on 111.
They get a doctor out to you same day.

Without the aid of a Mod I suggest you have 2 tabs open with the forum on, copy your post and paste it into a post on the Angry or Unhappy Thread and then just remove your own post from the Happy Thread

Good to hear you are back at home. Look on the bright side, if you can survive at home on 3 meals and water every 9 days and fall asleep very easily, think of all the money you will save food shopping, not to mention the electricity you will save by being asleep all the time.  ;D
David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

As a pensioner I agree with all that but it is ooooh sooooo boring

Good to hear you're back in your own environment, Graham. There's no dignity being in hospital.
You may be feak and weeble at present but I'm sure Pam will get you over that.

And all the extra railway goodies you can now afford. :D

Yes, he is still paying off the Tax Man and they wont let him die until they are paid.  8)

Must be his teeth then. After living here since 1974 I can't believe he's still going.

Must be 150 years old!
