Following a disaster (i.e. tiled floor) hitting my class 37 - see http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=29358.msg341780#msg341780

I am happy to report that, due completely to the efforts of a fellow forum member, my 37 is not just back in one piece but running a treat.
The member concerned likes to remain anonymous, but you know who you are, Pike  :claphappy:

Hooray! The Nobby downtown is (hopefully) at an end

I suspect the nameless hero (Clark Kent?) chooses to remain so lest his / her door be beaten down by other members looking for repairs.

Good on them anyway!

My lovely wife Kathryn, when the grandsons go home and piece and tranquillity rein once more, finding the fourth add on car for my Pioneer Zephyr at half the price it's been offered for for years, going to a model railway show and finding a couple of well executed American n scale layouts.

So it was you that outbid me on Ebay then?
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Daughter in law has e-mailed Mrs "H" re Xmas list.

Our 3 year old granddaughter has become interested in TRAINS !!! :claphappy:

So a Brio set is on the cards, I must admit that when she came to visit in the summer and watched as my Farish WD trundled around the layout with a 25 wagon freight train her cries of "here comes the cheeky one" made me laugh.

Some days its just not worth gnawing through the straps.

Well Done Mike that's great  :D

My happy news is I have had my first chance to play operate my CJM 89, and yeah now I know why I let my family but it for me!!

I am one giddy grown man child right now I would have got pics but I was to busy!!
Mechanical issues can be solved with a hammer and electrical problems can be solved with a screw driver. Beyond that it's verbal abuse which makes trains work!!
