Spent a happy hour yesterday with two small grandchildren playing shunting trains. That's what makes it all worth while.

Curiously, the girl was more adept than the boy, both as signal man and driver. What does that say about the fairer sex?

They still fighting over that ?
I gave up cricket as soon as I could - when I left school, that's a wee while ago now !
The only thing sillier than playing cricket is watching it.

Forget cricket .
I've just spent a great day with Toneeze and Shelley they came to visit my railway and we had a great morning we came up for lunch which Val had prepared for us before she went to the Hospital with my daughter , we went back only to find the points not working in the fiddle yard took a while to find the fault a simple thing like a push button stuck down but then every thing went well and I think they both enjoyed the day .theyve gone home now to give thier ears a rest ,I hope  that they can come over again it really cheered me up.
Thank you to both of you for a lovely day.
Bob

You philistines - I spent the larger part of yesterday up in the loft working on the layout, running in my new Grange and listening to Test Match Special on the digital radio - absolute heaven!

Alex
