plumped for a 27" 16:9 BenQ instead - wonderful panel    I can recommend the BenQ GW2765 if anyone is thinking of upgrading !

I bought a BenQ monitor a couple of years ago and it is still going strong, so I can add to your recommendation

The only possible improvement on that would be one with a slide down window with a leather strap.

I remember being almost flung out of the compartment when, as a rather small boy, I unlatched that demon length of leather from its hook and forgot to let go!

Got up this morning - checked my emails and one said 'News about your lottery ticket' (for the Euro lottery).
I rushed to the site, mentally planning a representation of Paddington c1970 (professionally built) on the proceeds! 
Sad to relate, it was only about a £9 win, but still not a bad start to the day.

I was going to say my porthole is rather more to starboard but then the Mods would be after me

should it not be painted blue ?

And furthermore, does it have the regulation light on top,
I think the question should be put to the Onerable Member ?
