My son has now moved out and work has started on the new railway room and very soon Chillthorpe will be under construction, happy days are here to stay.

:claphappy:

I hope your happy days last a long time and come with photographs of your progress

Good news after the long wait, Geoff. I hope he managed to swerve the extra costs involved?

Well he was on tender hooks the day he moved out, he thought the folks would not move out, I told him if he did not go for this weekend he had to move into the shed lol, we are at his house warming party at the moment, never seen so much booze being put away. Any way signing off now hic hic.

Was going to put it towards a Arnold Brighton Belle, but the website said none available.  :veryangry:

Just gone to their site tonight, and the train packs are back on sale, at £199 post free. Was that the price they were at before? Still, better get my order in before they sell out for xmas.

Are you talking about the Hornby Website or Chester Model Shop who were advertising them. My emails to the Chester Model Shop asking about the purchase of the Hornby Arnold Brighton Belle have so far brought a Nil response.

Hi TDM, it was the Hornby website

Checked on the OU site earlier, wondering if my exam result was in yet ... and it was.  Fortunately I passed what must be the worst OU curse ever, certainly the worst I have taken !!!

Just 1 more to do - the Project ... !!!

... and then you get out into the real world and people are like "foreign keys? nah, too much effort". ... :'(

Disclaimer: when not hanging around here I do database support and consulting (and actual development on a fairly well-known product) and the things you see on some people's systems...

If I never hear about normal forms again it will be too soon  :P  Let alone entity-relationship diagrams  :confused1:

Every year (well for the last 5 anyway) The NHS has invited me :confused1: to go to a special ward that specialises in 'infusions' and the like for non cancer patients .
It takes about 30 minutes in total and always has the same happy go lucky staff running things. A great deal of banter and good wishes were exchanged as always and I left knowing that my once a year visits were now ending and my bones should be as good as any bones can be thanks to the once a year visit  :bounce: :bounce:

Geoff

Nice to hear your bones are doing what they should and what a great service the NHS gives us.

Well done Jon

Got to unpack and run a few of the new locos on the old layout.

All fine except Sir Nigel who is more Grisley than Gresley. Likes the big loop but only once; second time round major derailing occurs. Grrrrr!  :veryangry:

Back to Happy; picked up the bright red Yeti a day earlier than expected. Wonder what this button does  ..........?  :)

What's a bright red Yeti? How do you pick one up and press its buttons?  :hmmm:
