I pre ordered a class 60 from CJM for £450. I feel really sick now

On the bright side I get the 'Rolls Royce' of British N to my spec in little more than 5 weeks

Good things in life dont come cheap! (just dont tell my wife :smiley-laughing:)

Which one?

The EWS liveried one, much like the one on the extreme top right of his fine stand. I got a picture of it which i will post tomorrow when im feeling less sick. He does them in batches of five so he tells me. ive ordered the same livery and weathered as disply but numbered 60035, which i receive end of Oct. Im gonna pay him this week. I cant wait to own one of his masterpieces :beers: :music:
Very nice indeed! I didn't feel brave enough to take the plunge for a CJM 60 today so I opted for the new Farish 60 in petroleum livery instead

The wise OWL and I were just saying today the forum would be buzzing - check out the record numbers on line today - 132 at last count (record ever).
I wonder what it's all about? ;D

I got it out of the box, put it on the track and.... Nothing ! :'(  Gutted... but i took the body off in the vain hope it was a broken wire or something and again couldn't find anything wrong - put power directly to the motor and it worked ! ;D  still wouldn't work on the track though >:(
Anyway, i got fed up trying to find the problem so i gave up, as i picked up the body to put it back on, i noticed contacts in the roof - i forgot, they CAN use the overhead wires (clever germans !). I switched the switch, and it worked !!! ;D  It ran beautifully !

If anyone else gets a dead electric loco, may be worth knowing about that switch ! Here is a pic of the switch (small slotted screw head)

Yep, there were many bargains - but you had to keep visiting the same stalls over and over as they brought out more boxes of goodies  ;D, i reckon i walked a few miles in that hall !  :smiley-laughing:

Shopping aside, the layouts were great and i got loads of great ideas to try out on mine...

I'm even considering making my layout 'exibition ready'  ;D
