Is it safe to use enamel and white spirits washes/thinners over the top of a synthetic acrylic lacquer ( TAMIYA TS-80 )?.

Thank you very much and have a great night/day.

Yes just make sure the TS-80 is fully dry.

Tamiya cans are my go to varnishes

I'd be very careful about using other types of paint coats on top of acrylic. Just because acrylic paint may be mostly water based, doesn't mean it won't dissolve in organic thinners as I found out to my horror a couple of months back. I tried brush painting Testors Dullcote (lacquer based) onto an acrylic paint after the latter had dried for a couple of days. The Dullcote started to lift the underlying paint. Looking this business up on the web, the consensus seemed to be that some acrylic paints take 30 days to fully dry and set. In my case, the solution was to spray the Dullcote on and minimise the physical disruption of the acrylic paint surface.
