Bachmann is unveiling a new tooling 12 noon tomorrow. For those unaware, previous videos have had a blue background for OO gauge tooling and green for Narrow Gauge - just like their boxes. The background of this is black, so are we about to get a New N gauge announcement?

Previous logic says tooling shown now, livery samples August with the model landing Septemebr-ish, possibly for TINGS

'Confirmation' of the 69? 325 on the back of their 319 and announcement of their retirement this week? New toilet block? Exciting times...

A case of wait and see, I suppose. Of course "new tool" could mean anything, but as a stand alone announcement we can hope it will be something powered, and maybe after so long since the last totally new tool one it will be a steam loco this time :)

Looks nice, long requested by many.

Let's hope it is successful and then await the next one!

With my recent luck in kit building, at least it isn't a V1/V3 or K1!

I'd hope they fix the tendency of the front pony truck to wander which my old model tends to do. Mine also growls a bit and has the obvious bodily discrepancies which look to have been corrected on the new model. I have a black early crest which I will keep and wait to see what livery variants of a late crest they do

My predictions are

Green Arrow - LNER and/or BR Green (NRM Exclusive)

LNER Apple Green 4791
BR Black Early Crest 60845
BR Green Later Crest 60847

will Rails of Sheffield re-do their OO models and see 4843 KOYLI and 60964 DLI too

After trying various things i put lateral springing via the guidepost on mine, and still not ideal -  but it is one of my favourites, and given the eye watering prices of new models will probably have to stay that way.
..Also the Tender /loco void on the new model is seriously off putting

Happy to see another LNER /ER though, an edition to the Thompsons coach range would also be grand ( a Kitchen? and or a nongang Lav Comp for instance)

Wow! I had been hoping that we would see a new V2 in N as it has so much going for it, but for it to now actually be announced is incredible news, and even in bare plastic and metal the model looks awesome and simply light years away from the somewhat compromised model of the early "noughties".

This loco will fit perfectly on my under construction GC layout, and for me it is one loco where the price will not be a major issue. I can see two BR sound fitted ones heading my way, depending on what is produced maybe a black and a green one. I would love to see 60828, a York engine with outside pipes regularly seen on the GC and frequently "borrowed" by Woodford Halse shed staff.

Roll on the 7th August for more news, but as we have only been shown EPs here, I am thinking delivery of the finished production locos may be somewhat later in the year rather than at TINGS.

Well done Bachmann!

Can we expect Thompson's A2 someday?
(In fact, I make fake A2 with old V2, new farish's bogie and A2 peppercorn shell)

Really hoping for a sound fitted Green Arrow, haven't got many steamers but that works for me

hm.  i will wait and see exactly what they produce.  For the use I make of it,  I am not unhappy with my early version.  I have modified the tender to take a NEM pocket and hence an easishunt coupling.

Great news, and good to see a new tooled steam loco. I may well purchase one to run at my local club.

As they seem to be working through their older fleet, maybe we'll see a new tooled Crab, 2P, 94xx and King in future years.
