Revolution survey on market for Alcan PCA tank wagons in N

Hello all,

In case anyone missed the announcement at Model Rail Scotland, Revolution is keen to offer the Alcan PCA tank wagons in N, having recently produced them in 00.  However, since demand for these wagons is not known we are carrying out an Expressions of Interest exercise.

These wagons have operated since 1988 and remain in service transporting alumina from Blyth bulk terminal to the UK's last remaining aluminium smelter at Fort William, in the Scottish Highlands.   They are now the only remaining revenue freight service on the West Highland Line, passing through some of the most spectacular scenery on the network.

Because Revolution are unsure of demand they are seeking expressions of interest at this stage, and the deadline is April 30th, after which a decision will be made on whether to proceed or not.  The wagons are expected to be similarly priced to the 00 versions, at around £150 for a pack of four, and liveries will include Alcan original, Rio Tinto, Liberty Lochaber and Alvance - reflecting the long history of the fleet.
