Sister in law was diagnosed with cancer 1st December 2023 (same day our cat was run over and killed). After a year of struggles, chemo, operations, more chemo and worsening problems, she died at 06:30 on 1st December 2024.

Oh Steve. So sorry to hear about the loss of your Sister in law. It's very difficult for those who have to watch their friends and relatives go through such painful times. If you are in the whirlwind of diagnosis and treatment yourself, you are very much boosted by the support of those around you. It's very sad that it has come to an end but give yourself permission to grieve now, having probably been very supportive in hope of a better outcome.

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.
If a friend seems distant, catch up with them.

There's never a good time to lose someone but just before Christmas is the worst. My condolences and good wishes to you and your family.

Thank you all.

She is at least at peace now and we are over the constant hospital visits and stays with her of the previous 9 nights and trying to take it all in.

Now my wife has all but finished the phone calls to friends and family and we are on to the funeral preparations.

So sorry to hear this news.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Sorry to hear of your loss Steve, I am one of the lucky ones. I was declared clear of cancer in October this year, luckily for me it was diagnosed early.
