3 rd rail advice?
« on: December 01, 2012, 11:21:28 pm »
Hi all,

Know some of you do the southern third rail thing but want to do a bit of track that is basically fake spanish broad gauge next to french 'normal' gauge.

I have code 80 and thought of some code 55 flexitrack on the side. Had a bit of the Peco stuff left over but forgot its the same when you cut the ties off  :dunce:

Any advice, ie are there code 55 size track that would stick along the side, on the outside ties, at the same level as the normal track. Could go Z, its just an illusion of spanish track in France?

Thanks in advance,

Meant to ask, do you think its worth the effort or would it look stupid? I'd obviously put the rail at the back so it wouldn't be seen when the spanish train is 'on it' as such.

Hope it all makes sense.
