Brighton Belle reverse polarity
« on: November 02, 2018, 05:17:56 pm »
In need of some help please.  :helpneededsign:

I have acquired a blue Brighton Belle to go with my other Belle, One thing is puzzling me and before I take the body off to investigate any advise would be appreciated.

Set the complete train on the track, turn on power and the thing goes the opposite way to my other one, I guess somehow in the past the polarity has been reversed? I'm not 100% sure but it may have been fitted with a DCC chip ( I am analogue ) before it reached me, is it possible that the blanking chip had been put in the wrong way round? or could it be something totally different.

 :thankyousign: Bob

:hmmm: I've always found locos with the blanking chip fitted upside-down refused to move rather than moved in reserve.

Yes, invert the chip and the direction will reverse.

Cheers,
Alan

Body removed and chip turned over, all running as it should be, thanks to the Dr.   :thankyousign:
