« on: October 07, 2018, 10:10:18 pm »
Hello to fellow group members Iím looking to pick some of your brains
Some time ago Iím sure I read somewhere that peco were planning on introducing nem pockets on the n gauge range of wagons as and when the tooling was replaced. Is this true just a rumour or wishful thinking or indeed did my mind just make it up any info would be great fully received
Thanks
Tim

Haven't heard that, but I do live a bit of a way from Pecorama!  :thumbsup:

I most certainly hope not. I find the peco coupling far better to use than the stiff nem types. A simple glance and the wagons couple up without rolling away and can also be easily fitted for hands free uncoupling.
The nem pocket only seems to be any use for people who want to remove the standard n gauge coupler for something else.

Hello, I found this on the Osborns website;

https://www.osbornsmodels.com/peco-gr-103-coupling-pockets---8-per-pack-28953-p.asp

I think this is what it may be?

A quick check of the Peco website lists that item as a 009 coupler pocket.

I guess you could remove the Elsie coupling and substitute those, but I can't think of a good reason why.

My understanding is that this is the intention for the recently acquired Parkside kit range (N & 00), but does not apply to the R-T-R N-gauge range.
