Windmill Hill Competition Time !
« on: August 31, 2018, 05:36:28 pm »
 :hellosign:

Hi All

Well here it is  :D

As a thank you to all the kind folk here who have been so inspirational, encouraging, and helpful, a 64 page (268 photos :o ) album of the construction of "Windmill hill", a "Windmill Hill" mug, and some Dorset sweeties are up for grabs

 :claphappy:   :claphappy:

One set here, and one set abroad Ö.. wherever that is  ;)

The competition is open to all who have contributed to help me complete my layout, and "thank yous" count as contributions as receiving them has been so encouraging

This is the question Ö. As people have been so kind in liking my detailing, particularly my placing of figures, or "little people" how many figures have I used on the layout ?

To clarify a few points, only include figures that are out and about doing stuff, don't include people indoors (inside the pub, and inside the signal box) , don't include people in cars or in the bus , don't include anyone in a phone box, and don't include the autocoach passengers, or any loco crew

Well, that's it. In the event of a tie whoever contributed the most comments and thank yous from the very beginning up to noon today will get the booty, and if no one gets it spot on, the nearest wins  :D :D :D :

The edited albums and mugs should be with me Saturday 8th Sept, so that's when winners are announced, hope I haven't eaten the sweeties by then  ::)

Here are some new photos to help

All best wishes
Kevin

PS, There are, 2 pigs, 5 horses, 1 cat, 4 swans, 5 sheep, 1 cow and 5 dogs, but we're not counting those are we   :D

When you say don't count the loco' crew, is that just crew on a loco', or does it include loco' crew that may be on the ground? I have seen one bloke who might be a crew member, (Bert ?), who is not on a loco'.  ???
David.

The answer has to be 42.

As already discussed, I believe that I am eligible for both competitions. Iím south of Dorchester (home) but in Hampshire (overseas).  :D

Hi Kevin

I am definitely overseas with a much bigger separation from Dorset than the English Channel. I'll say 63.

Hi Kevin,

Only just read this. It's 4.30 am and couldn't sleep. Tried to count but failing miserably. Will try again in the week so this is more of a reminder to myself. Hope you don't mind.

Also, just to clarify, do you mean all figures that have ever been used or just ones on there at the moment?

Sorry, had a friend over from Oz last night and still a bit blurry.

Cheers weave  :beers:

Hi Weave,

Hope you had a good time with your mates  :beers:  :claphappy: :beers:

I'm not sleeping either tonight... it's really hot, & I'm listening to old mystery/horror radio plays  :o

It's only figures there now, so only check recent pictures

All best wishes,
Kevin

note.. If you get it I may include cider instead of sweeties  :D :D :D
