First N gauge Loco getting run in
« on: May 14, 2018, 07:09:43 pm »
Hi all, forum and N gauge newbie here.

I have built my first loop of N track, it is mostly for running in loco's but also to keep the fire burning until I can get into a proper space for a layout.

I had a nice little trip to Hattons this morning, its only a half hour drive to the shop for me, I also went over the new Mersey Gateway bridge for the first time, don't worry I paid my tolls.
I have got myself the Graham Farish Standard 4MT 2-6-4 BR Late Crest.
No rolling stock because I honestly didn't want to spend 13 on 1 mk1 maroon today on top of my 134 purchase of track and loco.

This is my first little bundle of N, plus some track cutters.
I learnt a lot today about working with flexi track, all Peco Code 55.

Enjoy, she has had a full run in now both directions and is excellent.

Hi and welcome to the forum. You do realise of course that there is a well known formula which states that "track + engine = hooked" ? And of course, depending just how hooked you get, it is only a matter of time before you can come out and say "I am an addict".  ;)

Do not resist, give in to your passion, let it lead you fully to the N side of the railway....

If it wasn't 2 each way over the new bridge I would probably buy direct every time rather than pay for delivery.

Well I only model LMS really, honest, at the last attempt I gave up when I counted over 100 loco's as when the Domestic Overlord finds out its curtains for me :(
