Use 'Gallery' on the main toolbar to open a folder then upload your pics to your folder.
Click on the required pic in your folder and, underneath the enlarged pic you will see a BB code. Copy that and paste it into your post.

If you are trying to attach a pic to a post via the 'Attachments and other options' then only pdfs are accepted.

Obviously Mick's suggestion is spot on if you've not got the photos hosted elsewhere already. If you have then you just need to get the BBCode for the link from the hosting site (Flickr, Photobucket etc).

@first timer  this is not aimed at you specifically, rather at the user interface design of the forum:  This same question comes up often about how to post image and the "only PDF is allowed" comment.

The problem is some newbies don't seem to be noticing the "Add image to post and upload to gallery" link right above this text box I'm typing into, instead they only see the "Attachments and other options" link?

Why is that, does it need to be highlighted better? I think its a shame it's not shown as a proper button.

Is it less obvious because it's above the text box with all the emojis and especially all the "Photos please!" and "Thank you!" signs  (which actually I do find really annoying clutter because you have to scroll a long way back up to get to the useful things like the "add link" buttons etc.)

Here we go, I'll use it to add these two images below:

First click on the "Add image..." link

... then enter the details (use "Random Photos" category) and select your photo you want to upload and click "Add Picture"

Done!

the gallery/multiple upload is much easier, even for a single picture ( its Drag'n drop)

then go to My images , click on the image needed and copy the BB Code box and drop it into your message
