So who is going this year?

Hopefully a group of us from the E Dorset area group, must remember to mention it again at this evening's meet.
Cheers MIKE

If I get the decorating sorted by then, that Saturday may well be a shopping day in Horsham, so a short diversion may be in order...

Any suggestions as to route from Bournemouth area? A31/M27/A3/A272/A29/A264/A281 looks like it might work, and avoid the dreaded A27.
Cheers MIKE

That would work. Otherwise use the M3 up to Winchester and then the A272 across. If you do use the A27, then either the A285 from Chichester to Petworth and onwards along the A272, or carry on to Fontwell and use the A29 north.

I certainly intend to get there - it's the first time for many a year that the AGM has been within easy reach of the old home fires.

Looking forward to it.

Cheers,

Chris

PS. I'd vote for the A272 route from the west too, even though it can be slow if you get stuck behind a horse box!

Looks good, too far away for me but it does move around the country. Hope it's better than the very restricted one at Cleethorpes last year, and the fiasco of the 50th Anniversary.   Alastair.

Looks like a bit of a hike from the closest car parks to the venue?

Best of luck to Hailstone with his entries in the competition ,if any of you have seen some of his work before you will know he does make some lovely models ,I have actually handled his little PUG and you would never believe it was a 3D printed model itís absolutely amazing but he hasnít entered that one .
I also had an attempt at running his layout Tremierton at the clubs show ,I did  make a few mistakes but didnít break anything ,only got stuck with a trapped loco .

Had a look at train service from Bournemouth, is there any bus service from station to the show venue?
Cheers MIKE

As Horsham is local to me and I was free I was going to pop along and enter a model or two as I haven't for a few years but then discovered the closing date for entries was 3 months in advance for some reason! I'm sure it was never that far in advance and I can't commit that early so have different plans now. Have fun those that are going.

Don't know how mobile you are Mike, but it's about a mile easy walking.

Otherwise, the number 65 bus seems to connect the two, although I have no personal experience of its delights. The attached map may help:

https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/media/7032/horsham_getting_around.pdf

I would offer to pick you up, but I can't 100% guarantee that I am going to be there.

Cheers,

Chris
