Chillthorpe revisited
« on: December 26, 2017, 07:58:19 am »
Well I have started to rebuild Chillthorpe after dismantling, I am building the layout on 50mm polystyrene because I do not want to go under the board and keep lifting it up, I reckon I have layed 50% of the track and the rest will be done over the holidays, The layout will be on a 3m x 750mm board, as usual it will be controlled via the computer, Christmas has been kind and I have the Kato Platforms with a new 101 in SE colours also the Class 47 Capital Connection so this will give me plenty of lift to get it finished, I am just going to be building a loop with station and plenty of scenery, nothing over challenging, pictures to follow as my room is in a right untidy state and not worthy of a photo just yet.

Anyway back to the build.

Well the good news is that 98% of the track is laid and it’s the control centre that now needs wiring, there are approx 18 sections of wire and 4 points controllers small compared to other folks layouts but all I want to do is run trains, I have found polystyrene messy but easier to wire the track, photo’s will follow when l log back into my photo site now where is my password lol.
